The Project Teach ON Initiative, powered by The Community for Education, is dedicated to supporting current K-12 teachers by providing funding to create positive, creative, and safe learning environments for their students.
According to the National Education Association, teachers spend an average of $300 to $750 of their own money each year on school supplies—and that doesn’t even include classroom decorations, snacks, or other materials essential to cultivating an effective learning space. This out-of-pocket investment reflects the deep care and commitment educators have for their students.
Project Teach ON seeks to lighten that financial load. Each academic year, we will provide $300 in financial assistance to one elementary, one middle, and one high school teacher. These funds can be used for supplies, classroom enhancements, or other resources that directly support student engagement and success.
At the heart of this initiative is a simple belief: by supporting teachers, we positively impact students. It is imperative that we not only envision this support—but implement it in meaningful ways that touch classrooms across our communities.
Applications for the 2025–2026 academic year are now open and must be submitted by July 11, 2025.
Let’s teach on—together.
